We are please to announce the faculty for the Bluegrass Camp 2012. Bob Black will be returning on banjo, Andy Hatfield, Keith Yoder, David Mosher and Carol Palms are all coming back. You may have heard Bob Black recently playing on NPR's "A Prairie Home Companion" (Nov 4 show). He was reunited with the other members of Bill Monroe's "Bluegrass Boys" for a Bill Monroe tribute. Bob sounded great as usual. Bob Black has bluegrass roots going straight back to Bill Monroe. He toured and recorded with the late great musical master during the 70’s, learning much about songwriting and performing which he now brings to audiences all over the world. Drawing on bluegrass, folk, and gospel music traditions, Bob creates his own brand of “Midwestern Roots” music, which features both original and traditional songs and instrumentals. Bob has been teaching banjo for over 25 years. He has participated in numerous Jam Camps and conducted banjo workshops all over the U. S. His teaching style is friendly, positive, and inspirational, and his students include players of all levels—from beginning to advanced. |
