How to Enter:

To enter simply submit a completed Entry Form.

Fiddlers will be accepted in the order they are received.

CONTEST GUIDELINES

1. 1. The Fiddle Contest takes place on Sat Aug 7, 2010.
   

2. 2. The First Round begins at 10:00 a.m.
   

3. 3. The Contest will be held at Carr Park.
   

4. 4. Contestants must check-in 30 minutes before playing.
   

5. 5. Contestants will have two minutes to play (1) fiddle tune
   

5. 5. Second Round Fiddlers will compete after the first round.
   

6. 6. Second Round Fiddlers will perform (1) reel and (1) waltz. (no repeated tunes).
   

7. 7. Place Winners will be selected from each division.
   

8. 8. Winners (First place only) will be awarded and will be invited to perform on the Main Stage.

3. Contestants must check-in 30 min before they play.

Songwriters will be accepted in the order they are received.

CONTEST GUIDELINES

1. 1. The Songwriting Contest takes place on Sat Aug 7, 2010.
   

2. 2. The Songwriting Contest will begin at 11:00 am.
   

3. 3. The Contest will be held at the Coffee Mill Cafe in Manchester.
   

4. 4. Contestants must check in by 10:30 am. or 30 min before their performance time and will each have 10 minutes to perform.
   

5. 5. Contestants will use a small sound system limited to 3 microphones and an instrument D.I.
   

6. 6. Songwriters need not perform but must be present.
   

7. 7. Judges will base their decisions on the songs, not necessarily on the quality of the performance.
   

8. 8. Songwriters who register online will be notified via email of schedule updates.
   

9. 9.  Contestants may enter more than one song, provided they apply for each song separately.
   

10. 10. Entries will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis until   the contest limit is reached (limited to 30 participants).
    

11. 11.  All songs must be original compositions. Performers may not use copyrighted material owned by someone other than the songwriter.
